Top 10: Ashley Graham shows off baby bump


Ashley Graham is getting herself ready because her twins are coming soon.


In an Instagram post, Ashley shared her baby bump with the fact that she’s now a full termer or 40 weeks pregnant!


Ashley and her husband, Justin Ervin welcomed their first child Isaac Menelik Giovanni in 2020. 


They made the announcement of their upcoming twins last summer.

 


Top 9: The Weeknd drops new album this week


The Weeknd announced that he’s releasing a new album very soon!


It’s called “Dawn FM” and he unveiled this through a series of videos from his previous album “After Hours.”


Stars who are expected to collaborate with him include Quincy Jones, Tyler The Creator and Lil Wayne. Actor Jim Carrey might appear on his music video.


The new album will be released on Jan. 7. This is The Weeknd’s fifth album.


Top 8: Maori anchor makes history in primetime news program


New Zealand journalist Oriini Kaipara made history when she became the first person with Maori markings or moko kauae to anchor a primetime news program. Moko kauae are the traditional Maori tattoos on a woman’s chin.

Oriini filled in for the primetime news of New Zealand’s Channel Three


In an interview, Oriini said that this is a step forward as well as up. It’s of course special for the Maori people and for people of color in her country. 

 


Top 7: Documentary on Betty White in the works


Producers have confirmed that the documentary, “Betty White: 100 Years Young,” will push through in a one-night-only screening in theaters.


The documentary is intended for what was supposedly her 100th birthday celebration this January 17.


Producers of the documentary said that they included live footage of what would have been betty’s 100th birthday as well as her life, funny inside stories and clips from her former TV shows.


Betty was found dead last week at her house in Los Angeles. Agents said it is due to natural causes.


Top 6: World’s oldest person celebrates 119th birthday


The world’s oldest living person turns a year older.


Kane Tanaka just celebrated her 119th birthday in a nursing home in Fukuoka, Japan.


She was born in 1903 which means she survived two world wars and five Japanese imperial reigns.


Kane got married at the age of 19. She had a noodle shop as their family business.


And guess what, in preview interviews, her great-granddaughter revealed that Kane’s favorite foods are soda and chocolate.

 


Top 5: Google goes local to fight vaccine misinformation


Student and community journalists across the country will gather to tackle misinformation on COVID-19 vaccine in a free webinar from Jan. 28 to 29 at 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This will be streamed live on FYT’s YouTube channel. 


Dubbed “#FYTCOVID19: Fighting Vaccine Misinformation,” the online event is a fact-checking initiative of the independent media outfit FYT supported by Google Philippines. 


Student and community journalists must register to attend the webinar. FYT and Google will select 10 student and community journalists that both organizations will support beyond the webinar so they can learn more skills about fact-checking and building content on YouTube. 


Top 4: Liza Soberano’s camp dismisses pregnancy rumors


Liza Soberano’s talent manager Ogie Diaz has set the record straight about rumors that the actress is pregnant.


Ogie said that Liza isn’t pregnant on his YouTube channel.


The rumors erupted all over social media after Liza posted photos with Enrique Gil where she’s wearing big clothes for winter. Netizens were quick to jump into conclusion that she is pregnant.


Liza went to the US with Enrique to look after her grandmother.


Ogie believes that time will come for LizQuen to build a family but for now they are just happy being together.

 


Top 3: Iya Villania is pregnant with fourth child

Iya Villania revealed on their YouTube channel that she is pregnant again.


That means, Primo, Leon and Alana will be having a new sibling soon.

Fellow actress Liza Soberano got the 18th spot and she has been in the list for seven years.


Janine Gutierrez made her debut on the list in 78th spot.


BLACKPINK’s Lisa is the topnotcher.


Meanwhile, for the male counterpart, Daniel Matsunaga is the only Filipino in “Most Handsome Faces.” He is on the 83rd spot.

Top 1: Kris Aquino confirms split with fiancé Mel Sarmiento


Kris Aquino confirmed on Monday night, Jan. 3, that she and fiancé Mel Sarmiento have broken up.


She started her post with an update on her health condition wherein she mentioned that she is losing weight and might go to other country for treatment of her autoimmune condition.


She then addressed the rumor that she and Mel have gone separate ways by posting screenshots of Mel’s text message.


Mel said he accepted the host’s offer to let him go as his “bubble fatigue” and propensity to go out might put Kris’ health at risk. 


Kris asked for respect and privacy.


The two just got engaged last October. 


Family and friends of Kris showered her with love and prayers, and expressed hopes for her to get well soonest.
