2 Million Learners To Get Free Bags, School Supplies
Each beneficiary received a pre-packed school bag containing notebooks, pencils, crayons, rulers, erasers, sharpeners, and other essential learning materials.

The Marcos administration has launched a program that seeks to ease the financial burden of families by providing school supplies to two million students throughout the school year.
Dubbed the “Bagong Bag para sa Mag-aaral: Presidential Assistance to Primary-Grade Learners,” the program was launched on June 9 and will benefit Kindergarten to Grade 3 students.
Some 4,000 public school students identified by the Department of Education received school bags and learning kits during the program’s ceremonial launch at the Taytay Elementary Public School.
Investing in early-grade learners is a key priority of the administration, Executive Secretary Ralph Recto said.
The program is in line with President Marcos’ directive to ensure quality education by enabling children to begin the school year prepared and ready, he added.
Each beneficiary received a pre-packed school bag containing notebooks, pencils, crayons, rulers, erasers, sharpeners, and other essential learning materials.
The program is being implemented through the Socio-Civic Projects Fund of the Office of the Executive Secretary, in coordination with the DepEd to ensure the timely, efficient, and targeted delivery of assistance to identified beneficiaries nationwide.
