Top 10: New ‘Alien’ movie in the works

For those who’ve watched “Aliens” in the ‘70s and ‘80s, you will be in for another scream fest!

That’s because “Alien” will be back soon on the big screen.

For starters, “Aliens” is about an alien race who puts eggs inside living bodies. Gross isn’t it?

The new “Alien” movie will be directed by Fede Alvarez, who was behind “Don’t Breathe” and “Evil Dead.”

It will be produced by Ridley Scott under his production company Scott Free. Ridley was the director of the original sci-fi thriller more than 40 years ago.

Top 9: Randall Park scores comedy film project with Will Ferrell, Jamie Foxx

Randall Park is the latest cast member of the upcoming comedy film “Strays.”

He’s joining previously confirmed stars Will Ferrell and Jamie Foxx.

“Strays” is a live-action/computer-generated imagery (CGI) or stop motion animation about an abandoned dog who teams up with other stray dogs to seek revenge from his former owner.

It will be directed by Josh Greenbaum who was behind “Barb and Star Go To Vista Del Mar.”

The movie is set for release next year under Universal.

Top 8: ‘King Richard,’ ‘tick, tick…BOOM!’ win big at ACE Awards

“King Richard” and “tick, tick…BOOM!” got the top recognitions at the American Cinema Editors or ACE Awards.

“King Richard” editor Pamela Martin won in the dramatic feature editing category, while Myron Kerstein and Andrew Weisblum of “tick, tick…BOOM!” bagged the best edited comedic feature award.

Meanwhile, for the best edited animated feature film, it was Jeremy Milton from “Encanto” who took home the bacon.

As its name suggests, ACE Awards gives accolades to editors of movies being shown in the US. 

Top 7: Will Smith, Michael B. Jordan tease ‘I Am Legend’ sequel

There’s an “I Am Legend” sequel in the works which will star Will Smith and Michael B. Jordan.

Will posted a teaser photo on his social media account where he tagged Michael.

“I Am Legend” is based on a 1954 novel by Richard Mateson about the virologist Robert Neville played by Will. He is the only New York survivor of a man-made virus that transforms humans into bloodthirsty mutants.

“I Am Legend” was a hit movie in 2007 with millions of dollars in worldwide earnings.

Story and release date of the sequel is yet to be announced.

Top 6: Oscars presenters announced

The organizers have announced the first batch of presenters for the upcoming Academy Awards.

Kevin Costner, last year’s best supporting actress winner Youn Yuh-jung, Rosie Perez, Chris Rock, “The Batman” star Zoe Kravitz and Lady Gaga are set to present Oscars this year.

The ceremony will be hosted by Wanda Sykes, Amy Schumer and Regina Hall.

Top 5: Camila Cabello back with single featuring Ed sheeran

Gearing up for her biggest, boldest, and brightest release yet, three-time Grammy Award-nominated, multi-platinum, and chart-topping singer/songwriter Camila Cabello will unveil her anxiously awaited blockbuster new single and music video “Bam Bam” featuring four-time Grammy Award winner Ed Sheeran.

“Bam Bam” marks her first release of 2022, and it stands out as one of the year’s most anticipated event singles. It continues a creative collaboration dating back to Sheeran’s gold-certified 2019 banger “South Of The Border” featuring Cabello and Cardi B.

Its music video is currently one of the trending videos under the music category on YouTube.

Top 4: Crown Artist Management celebrates first anniversary

A year has gone by so fast since Maja Salvador and her boyfriend Rambo Nuñez and other colleagues established their own talent agency.

In a face-to-face press conference, Crown Artist Management talents were present that included the banner artists John Lloyd Cruz, Jasmine Curtis-Smith, Miles Ocampo and DJ Loonyo.

This is the first in-person media conference of John Lloyd after his almost four-year hiatus from showbiz.

DJ Loonyo, who is known for dancing, will try acting as well.

He will be part of the upcoming episodes of hit TV5 series “Nina Niño” soon.

Top 3: Zoe Saldana speaks on inclusivity in Hollywood

Ryan Reynolds will be headlining the upcoming Netflix film “The Adam Project.”

It's the story of time travel, love and family, all in one action-packed sci-fi film.

We spoke to one of the stars of “The Adam Project,” Zoe Saldana.

 The box-office hit actress was diagnosed as dyslexic and with ADHD that’s why she was one of the actresses who applauded the inclusivity in Bollywood with the people with special needs after “CODA,” a movie about deaf and mute family, won recognitions more recently in the SAG Awards.

“It feels great actually it feels way more balanced and more inclusive and I just hope it continues evolving in the right direction. It's just it's about time with us as human species,” Zoe said.

Top 2: Patrick Quiroz hailed as ‘Sing Galing: Sing-lebrity Edition’ champion

Dubbed as the “Coverboy Crushie,” Patrick Quiroz was declared the ultimate winner in the grand finals of “Sing Galing: Sing-lebrity Edition” held at the Metropolitan Theater last weekend.

“Kantastic 5” sing-lebrities who battled it out in the finals were Patrick, Chuckie Dreyfus, Boobsie Wonderland, Pepe Herrera and Aljur Abrenica.

First, the Top 2 were announced: Aljur and Patrick. Then the cover crushie emerged as the winner.



Top 1: BTS sets new Guinness World Records


BTS members are continuously dominating world records.

Guinness itself announced that BTS already has more than 60 million followers on Instagram for a music group, the biggest number as of February.

V, meanwhile, set records for the fastest time to reach one million followers on Instagram and for the fastest time to reach 10 million followers.

So far, BTS already has 28 Guinness World Records under their belt.
