The Asia Corporate Excellence & Sustainability (ACES) Awards knows this all too well, which is why it honors organizations that not only fulfill their roles but also seek ways to improve the experiences they provide.

From October 15 to 16, the regional platform hailed four Philippine institutions under sector-specific categories. 

Healthcare Providers

The Philippine Heart Center (PHC) received the Premier Healthcare Providers in Asia distinction.

Established in 1975, PHC has spent decades caring for patients with cardiovascular diseases, one of the leading causes of death in the Philippines. 

It has brought hope to Filipinos who might otherwise lack access to specialized cardiac care.

Another honoree in the healthcare category was Healthway FEU-NRMF Medical Center, which earned the Leading Healthcare Providers in Asia award.

Under AC Health, it serves as a tertiary teaching and training hospital, investing in modern facilities and clinical capabilities to deliver quality patient care.

Its work extends beyond hospital walls through public health campaigns, preventive care initiatives, medical missions, and health education drives across Metro Manila and nearby provinces. 

Through its preventive health hubs, the medical center also streamlines access to specialized consultations and diagnostic tests for Filipino families.

Educational Institutions

Leading the charge in the education sector is Universidad de Zamboanga, a Western Mindanao-based institution dedicated to nurturing academic talent, developing future leaders, and driving socio-economic growth across the region.

It offers academic programs in health sciences, engineering, business, information technology, and criminal justice.

To uphold educational standards, the university pursues accreditation, faculty development, and international academic partnerships.

Beyond the classroom, it emphasizes hands-on training, interdisciplinary research, and industry collaboration to prepare graduates with the practical skills, adaptability, and critical thinking needed to navigate an evolving global landscape.

Hotels

Via Appia Tagaytay rounded out the sector-specific awardees, earning the Emerging Hotels in Asia distinction.

The hotel brings an Italian-inspired experience to Tagaytay, one of the Philippines’ favorite highland destinations.
