WATCH: ‘America’s Got Talent’ And Past Performances Of Cebu’s Rolando ‘Bunot’ Abante
Roland ‘Bunot’ Abante has wowed judges and audiences when he joined ‘Tawag ng Tanghalan’ and showed his singing prowess in 2017. He did it again with his performance at “America’s Got Talent.”

A talent from Cebu received a standing ovation from America’s Got Talent (AGT) judges and audiences after performing for his audition Michael Bolton’s “When a Man Loves a Woman” on Tuesday night, June 13.
The recent episode of AGT’s season 18 showed Rolando “Bunot” Abante getting emotional as judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Sofía Vergara praised him.
“I have a feeling you’re gonna have to stop fishing. This is where you needed to be,” said Vergara.
Mandel said “we could feel your heart and I think that everybody just heard a life-changing moment.”
The four judges voted “yes,” and Abante will advance to the next round of the competition.
Cowell admitted that he doubted whether Abante would be able to pull through during the audition. “You were so nervous I genuinely thought for one moment you weren’t going to be able to do this. And then, that happened. And it made me love this audition even more. I really like you. That was a great audition. Really brilliant.”
“I’m [full of] happiness and joy right now,” said Abante, who works as a fisherman, courier and ride-share driver.
Klum and Cowell gave Abante a hug during the show.
This is not the first time for Abante to be popular on television and social media as he joined “It's Showtime’s” “Tawag ng Tanghalan” in February 2017.
