Dela Rosa’s lawyer Israelito Torreon criticized Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla for acting as an unofficial spokesperson for the ICC by publicly claiming that a warrant exists.
Torreon confirmed he has filed temporary restraining order (TRO) petitions against the Department of Justice and other government offices potentially involved in implementing the possible ICC arrest warrant.
Torreon said he would not advise Dela Rosa to use the Senate as a refuge to avoid a possible arrest warrant from the ICC.
