VIRAL: Photo Of Men Smiling As They Flee Uwan’s Fury In Aurora

A photo by The Philippine STAR photographer Walter Bollozos went viral on Sunday, Nov. 9, as it showed several men fleeing a storm surge in Barangay Aplaya, Dingalan, Aurora smiling.
The central portion of Aurora was under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 5, while the rest of Aurora was under Signal No. 4 on Sunday due to Super Typhoon Uwan, based on the state weather bureau’s advisory.
As of 5 a.m. today, Nov. 10, the photo posted on The Philippine STAR’s Facebook page has garnered 178,000 reaction and 5,000 comments. It has been shared 34,000 times.
“Nonchalant (‘yung naka-) stripe,” one comment read.
“POV: Men being men,” another netizen said.
Before the storm surge, the male residents stood before the sea to watch rising waves brought about by Uwan.
