Two-Peat Victory: ‘Sing Galing’ Wins At AACA 2022 For The Second Year

Two-Peat Victory: ‘Sing Galing’ Wins At AACA 2022 For The Second Year

Until now, Sing Galing continues to be TV5’s source of pride.

The show’s unique brand of music, talent, and laughter have always resonated with audiences – and for two years, with the award jurors of the Asian Academy Creative Awards (AACA).

The Philippines’ first and original videoke game show earns 3 National Winners honors in AACA 2022.

The star-studded Sing Galing Sing-Lebrity Edition is the Best Non-Scripted Entertainment program, marking Sing Galing’s second consecutive win under the category after the first season of its regular edition won in 2021. Moreover, the on-going kiddie family edition Sing Galing Kids is the Best Children’s Programme, and the voice behind the show and its promos, Show Suzuki, is the Best Voice Artist, respectively.

These recognitions are a testament to Sing Galing’s enduring legacy as a launchpad for Filipino talent. Then and now, the Philippines is a “Sing Galing Nation,” and the show’s crop of belters and stunners prove that the country has too much talent to go unnoticed.

(“We would like to thank the Asian Academy Creative Awards for giving us more reasons to offer non-stop music and laughter to our viewers all over the world. The successes were made possible by the collaboration of TV5, Cignal Entertainment, and CS Studios, as well as the unwavering support of our loyal audiences.”)

All three winners will compete with entries from other countries to become the 2022 Grand Final Winners – to be announced live from Singapore’s historic Chijmes Hall on December 7 & 8, 2022.

What’s next for Sing Galing? The regular, weekday edition ups the ante of entertainment on its Sing Backbackan (wildcard) round, which determines who will be part of Team Galing – its roster of finalists. The exciting Sing Galing Kids is also fast approaching the Sing Backbackan round, with lots of kiddie sing-testants expected to fill its own Team Galing line-up.

Catch more award-winning kantawanan on Sing Galing, airing Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at 6:30 PM on TV5 and internationally via TFC, and Sing Galing Kids, airing Saturdays at 6:00 PM on TV5.
