Say It With A Cake: Where To Order Witty Dedication Cakes For Every Occasion
You can have good food and a good laugh at the same time!

Every Filipino occasion calls for these three staples: lumpiang shanghai, spaghetti or pancit, and of course, a celebratory cake! Who doesn’t love a good dessert? Well, this quarantine paved the way for “Korean minimalist cakes,” which have become very popular here.
They are called “minimalist cakes” because most of them have simple designs and are topped with personal dedications – think cake and greeting card in one. Add Pinoy wit and humor to the mix and you got yourself the latest craze in town. Here, we rounded up online bakeries where you can purchase a celebratory cake for your next occasion, be it a birthday, graduation, Easter, or just because!

Susan’s Homemade Cakes went viral for the dedication cake they made which says, “Salamat na lang sa lahat.” Facebook users thought it was for a couple on the brink of breaking up. However, the bakeshop clarified that it was ordered by the owner’s brother, who was in a long-distance relationship with his partner, a nurse assigned to a COVID ward in the city.
The dedication was “not a breakup story, but salamat na lang sa lahat ng sacrifice niya in fighting against [COVID-19], and hopefully sana maging negative ang result niya para magkita na sila this week.”
