This recipe by wellness blogger Arielle Lore is super easy to make! It’s also perfect for those who are under a vegan diet.
What you’ll need:
- ½ cup of tahini or sesame seed paste
- ¾ cup of your preferred nut milk
- ¼ cup of olive oil
- ¼ cup of lemon juice
- ¾ cup of nutritional yeast
- Garlic powder, salt, and pepper
Procedure:
- Boil elbow macaroni pasta in a deep skillet according to package instructions.
- Pour the sesame seed paste, milk, olive oil, lemon juice, and nutritional yeast in a blender.
- Blend these together, along with garlic powder, salt, and pepper, to achieve a smooth texture.
- Transfer the cooked pasta into a bowl, and pour the vegan cheese sauce over it. Mix well. Yup, that’s it!

What you’ll need:
- 500g kalabasa (squash), cut into cubes and boiled
- 2 tbsp. of olive oil
- 1 red onion
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 1 can of tuna flakes
- 2 cups of vegetable broth
- 2 tbsp. of fish sauce
- 200g of pansit bihon
- 1 cup of cabbage, shredded
- 1 boiled egg
- Salt and pepper
- Black sesame seeds
- Spring onions
Procedure:
- Boil 500 grams of kalabasa until soft. Boil 200g of pansit bihon in a separate skillet, and throw in an egg as well.
- In a pan, sauté olive oil, minced red onion, garlic, and tuna flakes for about two minutes.
- Once the kalabasa is ready, you can throw them into a blender or mash them with a fork. Add the quashed kalabasa into the pan along with two cups of vegetable broth.
- Mix well for around three minutes. Then, add the pansit bihon into the pan.
- Throw in the shredded cabbage into the mixture, and cook for around two more minutes.
- Top with boiled egg, spring onion, and black sesame seeds, and serve!

Procedure:
- Put all of the ingredients in one large bowl and mix well until thoroughly blended.
- Get one tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a ball. Repeat this step until you finish the whole mixture.

Lugaw is a breakfast staple among us Pinoys. However, the use of white rice for this yummy dish is not exactly diet-friendly, as it has a high calorie content. Fret not, because red rice lugaw is just as easy to make!
What you’ll need:
- 2 cups of red rice
- 20g of ginger
- 5 cloves of garlic
- 1 red onion
- 2 tbsp. of oil
- 500ml vegetable or chicken stock
- Black pepper
- 3 tbsp. of fish sauce
Procedure:
- Put two cups of red rice, and two cups of water in a bowl. Soak overnight.
- Prepare a frying pan and sauté 20g of ginger, minced garlic, and onion. Add in the soaked red rice.
- After mixing for a few minutes, pour 500ml vegetable or chicken stock, and let it boil for 40 minutes. You can add water if needed.
- Season with black pepper and 3 tablespoons of fish sauce for extra flavor.
- Once rice is soft, transfer into a bowl and top with fried garlic, boiled egg, and calamansi.

- Cut the bell pepper in half and remove the seeds. Cook them in the oven or air fryer for about five minutes while you prepare the tuna.
- Drain one can of tuna and put it in a bowl. Add salt, pepper, mustard, and mayonnaise, and mix well.
- Take out the bell pepper from the oven or air fryer and pat them dry.
- Stuff the bell pepper halves with the tuna mixture.
- Top them with easy melt cheese, and put them back in the oven for two minutes.
- Once the cheese has melted, take them out of the oven, let cool, and serve!
