Top 10: Nicole Kidman to play Lucille Ball in new film
Academy Award-winning actress Nicole Kidman has been cast in a movie called “The Ricardos” as Lucille Ball, the famous comedian who emerged as one of Hollywood’s greats during the 1930s to 1980s.
“The Ricardos” will follow Lucille and her husband Desi Arnaz’s story when they both faced a crisis that could potentially end their careers.
Nicole admits that the role has been challenging for her because she’s never been cast funny, so it’s really way out of her comfort zone. Lucille also had a very particular way of speaking, so Nicole has been exerting effort to perfect that.
Nicole also said “The Ricardos” is not a remake of the “I Love Lucy” show, the TV sitcom that starred Lucille and Desi in the 1950s. In fact, she says “The Ricardos” is kind of deep.
Some critiques and netizens acknowledged the surreality of casting the 53-year-old multi-awarded actress as the great comedian, even to the point of totally thumbing her down! But Nicole says she’s going to prove something here for you all.
“The Ricardos” will be directed by aaron sorkin. the release date is yet to be announced.

Top 8: Adele pays tribute to Grenfell Tower fire victims
It’s been four years since that fire on Grenfell Tower in London claimed the lives of 71 people. Until now, the incident remains under investigation.
In a video shared by Grenfell United, singer Adele spoke up in support of the families whose lives have changed since the tragic incident.
The 33-year-old singer lamented that no one was held accountable and questions are still unanswered after all these years.
It can be recalled that Adele has been one of the first few celebrities who went to Grenfell Tower after the fire happened to personally help the victims and survivors.
Top 7: Park Seo-joon to join Marvel Universe?
Korean sites have been reporting that the heartthrob Park Seo-joon is joining the cast of the “Captain Marvel” sequel!
However, no confirmation has been sent by his agency or by Marvel itself.
If the rumor is true, Park Seo-joon will be the third Korean actor to appear in the Marvel cinematic universe. Before him, there’s Claudia Kim in the “Avengers: Age of Ultron” and Ma Dong-seok in “The Eternals.”
Park Seo-joon is among the roster of Korean stars who also served as ambassadors of Smart Communications.

We first saw the paparazzi photos on the New York Post where the two celebrities were seen kissing while enjoying a meal in a posh diner in Los Angeles.
Well, prior to these, we’ve also already seen “Bennifer” in photos together prowling Los Angeles and Miami just maybe days after Jennifer and Alex Rodriguez called off their engagement.
Fans really wanted a full-blown confirmation but both Ben and Jennifer’s respective representatives and publicists are still quiet about it.
Top 5: Paolo Ballesteros designs national costume of Binibining Pilipinas candidate
There’s no stopping Paolo Ballesteros’ creative juices from flowing.
On Instagram, the “PoPinoy” host shared that he designed the “higantes” national costume of Honey Cartasano, who represents Rizal in the Binibining Pilipinas pageant.
“Higantes” Festival is a parade of giant papier-mâché puppets in Angono, Rizal that happens every November. It’s said to be a mockery of bad hacienda owners during the regime of the Spaniards.
In 2018, Paolo also designed a Filipiniana gown for a Mutya ng Pilipinas candidate.
Top 4: Nadine Lustre’s camp appeals court order
The plot thickens after Nadine Lustre answered the decision of the Quezon City regional trial court favoring the case filed by Viva Artists Agency.
In our interview, Nadine’s lawyer Lorna Kapunan reiterated that Viva should have sought arbitration first for the actress to honor her contract instead of filing a court case.
According to Kapunan, Viva will get commissions from Nadine’s talent fees following the court order. But she noted that Nadine also won because the court denied Viva’s request for a writ of preliminary attachment and/or writ of garnishment – meaning the agency won’t get Nadine’s assets equivalent to the amount that Viva is claiming under the supposed breach of their contract since 2019.
Aside from the injunction to stop Nadine from self-managing and the writ of garnishment, Viva also accused Nadine of fraud as he left the agency in 2019 and unilaterally revoked her contract last year.

Yes, it’s that Parokya ni Edgar song that has now been translated into a movie.
“Mang Jose,” which stars Janno Gibbs, will be having its world premiere at the Bucheon International Film Festival in South Korea this July.
The film is a comedy action which, as said in the lyrics of Parokya Ni Edgar’s song, is about “Mang Jose” who saves people only if they rent him out.
Joining Janno Gibbs in the cast are Manilyn Reynes, Jerald Napoles and Mikoy Morales.

AGB Nielsen’s Nationwide Urban Television Audience Measurement or NUTAM confirmed that “Rolling In It” has just gotten the biggest audience yet this year for the Saturday 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. timeslot of TV5.
“Rolling In It” is a local franchise from the original game from United Kingdom showing arcade-like scenarios with the aim of winning prizes. And yes, it airs every Saturday at 7 p.m. on TV5.
