ARMYs are not only monster streamers, but good at DIY too!
On June 18, the much-awaited BTS Meal was finally launched in the Philippines. The collaboration between the fast food giant and the world’s biggest pop sensation was first announced on April 19, when the official McDonald’s Twitter account posted that the “BTS Meal” would be the next installment to their Famous Orders program.
The special meal consists of medium fries, 10 pieces of chicken nuggets, medium drink, and two exclusive sauces inspired by McDonald’s South Korea’s dips: the Sweet Chili Sauce and Cajun Sauce.
When the collab dropped in the country, thousands of dedicated Filipino ARMYs (what the BTS fandom collectively call themselves) got their hands on the BTS Meal on its first day. However, it is only available for a limited time.

Turn it into a coaster
Crafted by Calai is a Cebu-based jewelry shop that sells handcrafted necklaces, earrings, guitar picks, and keychains. As resin art is super in, they repurposed the BTS Meal paper bag into a coaster, and the sauce tinfoil into necklace pendants!
A BTS corset is definitely a fashion statement
This handmade modernized corset was created by Galla by Zie, a local clothing line that advocates for slow and sustainable fashion.
She used the cup from the BTS drink and plastered it to the sides of the corset to give it a little extra flair. She also used purple (a.k.a. a special color within the fandom), and sewed in adjustable straps for a snug fit.
DIY phone case
What’s a better way to remind you of your bias than by using the one thing we can’t put down? Yup, it’s super easy to recycle your BTS Meal to make it into a phone case!
Filipino ARMY Vee used a clear case and traced it onto the purple cup included in the meal. When you cut the outline, you can insert it in the clear case, and you have yourself a customized BTS phone case!
A reworked saddle bag
Arts and crafts queen Jaz Reyes never disappoints! Her DIY entry for the BTS Meal is a reworked saddle bag inspired by Dior’s collection. She used the soda cups to make this bag and says that it can even fit a chicken nugget and the two special sauces!
A bucket hat to complete the outfit
We’ve got a corset, the bag, and now, even a bucket hat! OOTD complete!
Aside from the reworked saddle bag, Jaz also upcycled the BTS Meal paper bag into a bucket hat that actually looks pretty cool.
To DIY this hat, she downloaded a free “bucket hat” pattern from the Internet and outlined it on the paper bag. She cut all the outlined pieces, taped them together, and that’s it!
Keychains for your bag
The easiest way to repurpose your BTS meal is by turning them into keychains! You can buy a Php 45 blank acrylic keychains on Shopee and insert a portion of the packaging into it.
No pair of sneaks can be cooler than this
Step aside, Yeezys -- the custom-made BTS sneaks are way cooler!
Josiah Chua is a Singapore-based artist and fashion designer who did a BTS take on the classic sneakers. He even included a pocket for the chicken nuggets! This pair definitely took the Internet by surprise.

TikToker Kyra Nayda used a preloved jean jacket with two pockets in front for her DIY. She cut out a portion from the BTS Meal paper bag and soda cups for each pocket, and covered them with a plastic sheet to make them waterproof!

If you’re a lowkey fan girl, you can simply make a DIY pendant by using the sauce covers of the BTS Meal. Just laminate the covers to make them waterproof and throw in a gold or silver chain to give it a classy touch.
