7 Questions We Want Answered In The Hospital Playlist 2 Season Finale—Or Give Us Season 3
Who else is feeling the sepanx?

We're one day away from what many are predicting to be a heart-stopping finale for Season 2 of Hospital Playlist, and if you've been following this K-drama, you'll know exactly what we mean.
Hospital Playlist follows the lives of five surgeons at Yulje Medical Center whose friendship spans at least 20 years since medical school. Fans are eager to receive news about a Season 3 for the tvN drama that stars Jo Jung-suk, Yoo Yeon-seok, Jung Kyung-ho, Kim Dae-myung and Jeon Mi-do, but reports about the cast starring in a variety show after the finale of Season 2 may mean the medical drama is really concluding this week.
But, we're not ready to let go just yet! We’re hanging on to every scene, as viewership ratings of last week’s Episode 11 will prove: 13.4%—a new all-time high, according to Nielsen Korea. The series has also maintained its number 1 spot in its time slot. Meanwhile, we have questions still left unanswered.
WARNING: Spoilers ahead—so if you're yet to catch up on the latest episode of Hospital Playlist and you wouldn't want to be pre-empted, this is where you stop reading.
1. What really happened to Kim Ju-wan in Hawaii?
In Season 1, when all five except Dr. Kim Ju-wan (Jung Kyung-ho) agreed to form a band, a mention of Hawaii was all it took for Dr. Ahn Jeong-won (Yoo Yeon-seok) to get the cardio-thoracic surgeon to say yes. In Season 2, a scene suggests Ju-wan also told his girlfriend in strict confidence about the Hawaii incident. What is Ju-wan's heavily guarded secret that he doesn't want the rest of his best buddies to know about?
2. Why did Ik-jun look turn down Song-hwa's birthday dinner invitation in '99?
In a flashback scene in Season 2, Dr. Chae Song-hwa (Jeon Mi-do) invites Dr. Lee Ik-jun (Jo Jung-suk) to dinner to celebrate his birthday. We all know Ik-jun has always had feelings for Song-hwa (and that the feeling is mutual), so why did he, in a way, reject Song-hwa? We think we know the answer, but we need to see!
3. Why does Seok-hyung want people to think he is planning to leave for the US?
The relationship between Dr. Yang Seok-hyung (Kim Dae-myung) and Dr. Chu Min-ah (Ahn Eun-jin) is finally progressing, so it's a puzzle for viewers when the topic of his supposed plans to move to the United States is brought up by Jeong-won's mom Ro-sa (Kim Hae-sook). When Jeong-won asks Seok-hyung about it, he said he wants his own mom to think that that is the case, without explaining why. What's the bear cooking up?
4. Will Ju-wan and Ik-sun get back together?
Ik-sun did admit to Ju-wan that she still has feelings for him—and of course Ju-wan is far from being over her—so what are they waiting for?? Or are they already back together?
5. How will Seok-hyung's mom react to his relationship with Min-ah?
We're not quite sure how Seok-hyung's "U.S. plan" will play out. However, we don't doubt there will be a scene once his mom Young-hye (Moon Hee-kyung) finds out that the woman her son is dating is that doctor she once had an unpleasant encounter with. Oh, Dr. Chuchu, brace yourself!
6. Will Ro-sa and Jong-su become more than friends?
Decades of friendship and many life events later, will besties eomma Ro-sa and Chairman Jong-su (Kim Kap-soo) finally come to realize they were destined for each other?
7. Will Jeong-won finally be able to pop the question to Gyeo-ul?
Fans of the #WinterGarden couple (and eomma Ro-sa too) are anxious to know when Jeong-won will propose to Dr. Jang Gyeo-ul (Shin Hyun-been) after a failed first attempt earlier in the second season. Are we ending Season 2 with wedding bells?

Fans of Hospital Playlist will also agree for sure when we say we want to meet U-ju’s (Kim Jun) friend Mo-ne, and see more #IkSong couple moments, now that they're official! Oh, my heart!
It looks impossible to cover all those in just one episode even if it will be 2 hours and 40 minutes long, according to reports—so tvN, please tell us there's a Season 3!
Watch Hospital Playlist on Netflix. The Season 2 finale will stream on September 16, 2021.
