PAL Launches Manila-Cauayan Flights
The new Manila-Cauayan-Manila flight will be operated daily via an 86-seater De Havilland Dash 8-400 Next Generation aircraft, Philippine Airlines said.

Philippine Airlines (PAL) launched on Wednesday, Jan. 15, its Manila-Cauayan-Manila route, with the inaugural service – PR 2018 – departing Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2 at 1:25 p.m.
The new Manila-Cauayan-Manila flight will be operated daily via an 86-seater De Havilland Dash 8-400 Next Generation aircraft, PAL said on Wednesday.
The flag carrier celebrated the inaugural flight with a send-off ceremony at Manila’s NAIA Terminal 2, attended by various local government officials and aviation stakeholders.
The 10-hour travel from Manila to Cauayan by land was reduced to only an hour flight by PAL.
The flights promote Cauayan as gateway to Isabela, known for its festivals that include the annual Bambanti and Gawagaway-yan events.
“We are pleased to introduce our new Manila-Cauayan-Manila route to serve the residents of Isabela province,” said PAL Express president Rabbi Vincent Ang. “At Philippine Airlines, we are happy to be part of a story of economic progress in Northern Luzon and look forward to working with our partners and stakeholders in the local government and community, in the continuing task of building up tourism, business growth and greater connectivity for the benefit of all Filipinos.”
“Cauayan City is a jump point of tourism in the northern east of the Philippines. By opening this new route, we are also expecting the economic growth that it will bring to our city and our province,” Cauayan City Mayor Caesar “Jaycee” Dy Jr. said.
Returning Filipino Eleasur de Vega, who just arrived from San Francisco on board PAL flight PR 105 with his sisters, said traveling back to their province became easier with the flights to Cauayan.
