LPA Develops Into Tropical Depression Huaning
The state weather bureau said Tropical Depression Huaning is unlikely to directly affect the country within the next 48 hours.

The low pressure area east northeast of Batanes developed into Tropical Depression Huaning as of 2 a.m. today, Aug. 18, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration.
In an advisory issued at 5 a.m. today, PAGASA said the center of Huaning as of 4 a.m. was estimated at 520 kilometers east northeast of Itbayat, Batanes with a maximum sustained winds of 45 km per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 55 km per hour.
No tropical cyclone wind signals are in effect.
