Cignal Showcases Streaming Breakthroughs at Asia’s Top Media Summit APOS 2025
MediaQuest and Cignal President & CEO Jane Basas speaks at APOS 2025, Asia’s premier summit for the media, telecoms, and entertainment industries.

Cignal unveiled its newest streaming innovations and original content strategies at APOS 2025, Asia’s premier summit for the media, telecoms, and entertainment industries held in Bali, Indonesia.

Organized by Media Partners Asia (MPA), APOS gathered top executives and decision-makers across the region from June 24 to 26. This year, Cignal highlighted its transformation from a legacy pay-TV provider into a dynamic, multi-platform, multimedia powerhouse.

Bold Leap Forward With Cignal Super

MediaQuest and Cignal President & CEO Jane Jimenez-Basas took the stage as one of the Fire Chat speakers, where she introduced Cignal Super—the first and only streaming aggregator app in the Philippines.

"At Mediaquest, we’re not just adapting to change—we’re driving it,” Basas said. “With Cignal Super, the Philippines’ first streaming aggregator app, we’re laying a strong foundation for Cignal’s transformation into a multi-content, multi-platform media powerhouse.”

Cignal Super simplifies the fragmented streaming experience by uniting multiple premium services into a single app with one subscription and one login. The platform bundles content from Max, Viu, Lionsgate Play, Curiosity Stream, Pilipinas Live, Fuse+, Cignal Play, and Hallmark Movies Now, offering Filipino viewers seamless access to movies, series, live TV, sports, lifestyle, and documentaries.

Short-Form Innovation on Pilipinas Live

Cignal Chief Revenue Officer Gerard Milan, meanwhile, highlighted the company’s expansion into short-form, vertical video content with Pilipinas Live Shorts, the latest feature on the country’s go-to sports streaming app, Pilipinas Live.

Built for mobile-first, younger audiences, Pilipinas Live Shorts delivers bite-sized, creator-led content that showcases the lives of Filipino athletes beyond the buzzer— from fashion and fitness to hobbies and travel. The new feature aims to deepen fan engagement even on days without live matches.

“With Pilipinas Live Shorts, we’re creating more space for new stories to be told—authentic, creator-led, and mobile-first,” Milan said. “It’s a fresh and meaningful way for sports fans, especially the younger generation, to connect, engage, and celebrate the passions that bring them together.”
