Top 10: Helena Bonham Carter as British soap star in series

Helena Bonham Carter will play Noele Gordon, a TV legend, in an ITV soap opera.

Entitled “Nolly,” the limited series will feature the life of Noele who ruled the airwaves for 18 years until she was unceremoniously fired.

The series will explore what really happened to the famous star and why she was fired without explanation.

Production will begin in 2022 and the release date is yet to be announced.

Top 9: ‘Jurassic World: Dominion’ reveals first five minutes

Fans of “Jurassic Park” got a special treat after it released the first five minutes of “Jurassic World: Dominion.”

It showed some scenes from 65 million years ago, which can now be seen online as well.

The latest “Jurassic” movie stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and returning cast Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum.

“Jurassic World: Dominion” hits theaters in 2022.

Top 8: Dwayne Johnson is voice artist in new animated movie

Dwayne Johnson voices Superman’s furry friend Krypto the Superdog in “DC League of Super-Pets.”

In the new trailer, we already heard Dwayne behind the voice of Superdog.

Some interesting features in the trailer are the big sized animals that Krypto is supposed to save.

Top 7: HBO confirms 2022 release of ‘Euphoria’ Season 2

Zendaya is back with her hit HBO series!

HBO announced that season two of “Euphoria” will be released early next year.

Nearly two years after the first season, Zendaya’s character Rue Bennett is back to her old habits as a drug addict. There will be new cast members, who could be friends or foes to rue.

Last year, Zendaya won an Emmy award for her role in the first season of this series.

Some fans believe Zendaya is up for another Emmy nod because of her performance in the new season.

Top 6: Google launches ‘Be Internet Awesome’ in the Philippines

A program on child’s safety in the digital world has been launched by Google.

“Be Internet Awesome” is Google’s free multifaceted program designed to teach kids the fundamentals of digital citizenship and online safety.

Particularly, it is focused on five important topics: how to be smart, alert, strong, kind, and brave on the internet.

It contains several teaching materials and related resources that can help teach digital literacy concepts to children with the help of teachers and parents. 

Together with the Department of Education (DepEd), Google implemented a pilot run of “Be Internet Awesome” in the Philippines to test it and gather feedback that could help improve the program further.

The pilot run was conducted in more than 20 schools from across Antipolo, Makati, Mandaluyong, Pasig, and Nueva Ecija.

The results of the pilot run were encouraging.

Top 5: Erik Matti’s work featured in HBO Go’s horror anthology

The Philippines is one of six Asian countries featured on “Folklore” Season 2 which premiered exclusively on both HBO Go and HBO on Nov. 14.

To the delight of horror fans across the country, it’s helmed by multi-awarded director Erik Matti.

It’s also been announced that “7 Days of Hell” – the Philippine episode of Folklore Season 2 – will be released on both HBO Go and HBO on Dec. 5.

With a rich history full of traditions, beliefs, and practices that have shaped our culture over generations, the Philippines is an ideal setting to be explored by the HBO Asia original horror anthology series.

Direk Erik’s episode will feature the local witchcraft setup. It stars Dolly De Leon and Mon Confiado, among others.

Ben&Ben are redefining the virtual concert-going experience with the biggest headline show of their career.

Aptly titled “Kuwaderno: A Ben&Ben Online Concert,” the Filipino nine-piece collective are pushing the boundaries of music shows in the new normal setting by integrating creative disciplines such as drama, dance, orchestra, and technology with a live performance.

Their highly anticipated major concert will be staged at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, and will be streamed live on Dec. 5, from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. via digital streaming platform,

Top 2: BTS’ crossroad performance goes viral 

Imagine you’re driving your car, then suddenly you have to stop because BTS is right in front of you on the street and they’re performing?

That’s exactly what happened to the very, very lucky Fil-Am TV host Cher Calvin who seemed to have won a concert front seat when she witnessed, right in front of her very eyes, the one and only BTS do a crossroad performance of “Butter” in Los Angeles, California.

That’s not all, BTS even touched her car.

So yes, a lot of ARMYs out there are definitely jealous, and some would even want to buy the car that the global superstars have touched.


Top 1: Olivia Rodrigo makes history after Grammy nominations

Olivia Rodrigo continues her biggest moments in the music industry as she gets seven nominations from the Grammy Awards.

Olivia dominated the big four categories: Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Best New Artist.

She is the second youngest artist to get those four nominations after Billie Eilish. Both of them got seven Grammy nominations.

And yes, Olivia is the first Fil-Am artist to achieve the feat. 

There are also other Fil-Am singers who got Grammy nominations too. H.E.R got eight while Saweetie has two.

The Grammys will be held live in January 2022 and will be streamed in Paramount+.
