INC: We Have No Hand In Co’s Claims Versus Marcos
The statement comes as the religious group began its three-day “Rally for Transparency and a Better Democracy” at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila on Sunday, Nov. 16.

The Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) has categorically denied any involvement in resigned Ako Bicol party-list congressman Elizaldy Co’s accusations against President Marcos.
The statement comes as the religious group began its three-day “Rally for Transparency and a Better Democracy” at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila on Sunday, Nov. 16.
The Philippine STAR reached out to INC spokesperson Edwil Zabala on whether they have recently been in contact with Co, and if the INC was in any way involved in crafting Co’s statement.
“The categorical answer to that is that we have not been in touch with him (Co),” Zabala said in a text message.
“We can categorically say that we have nothing to do with that,” he added.
Co has so far released two parts of his “revelations,” wherein he accused President Marcos of receiving P25 billion in kickbacks from the P100 billion worth of project insertions in the 2025 General Appropriations Act.
Malacañang rejected the “baseless” stories and advised Co to return to the country and face the charges against him.
