Top 10: Netflix drops new comedy special
For those who love Dave Chappelle, here is something to watch out for.
Netflix premiered the comedy special “The Closer” featuring no other than Dave himself this time!
This is the return of the stand-up comedian to Netflix after the previous specials which are directed by Stan Lathan.
Dave is an Emmy awardee and a Grammy winner too. He received the Mark Twain prize for American humor in 2019.
His latest comedy special is now up on Netflix.

Top 9: Lindsay Lohan is launching a podcast
Lindsay Lohan signed a deal with Studio71, a digital content studio, to host her first-ever podcast.
On social media, Lindsay expressed her happiness in the partnership with Studio71 in production and development of her podcast.
She said that she looks forward to connecting with more fans and having an intimate chat with thought leaders and friends.
The release of the podcast is yet to be announced by the studio and Lindsay herself.
Top 8: Tilda Swinton is starring in new musical film
Actress Tilda Swinton has been announced as the star of an upcoming musical called “The End.”
The movie is about the last human family, and it’s to be directed by American-British director Joshua Opppenheimer, who has been known for Oscar-nominated films like “The Look of Silence” and “The Act of Killing.”
Tilda will be joined by George Mackay and Stephen Graham, forming a trio that’s known for critically-acclaimed films like “Michael Clayton”for Tilda, “The Irishman” for Stephen and “1917” for George.
Production will start in 2022 under Neon, the studio behind “Parasite.”
Top 7: Britney Spears thanks #FreeBritney movement
Britney Spears thanked supporters for being with her in her fight against the controversial conservatorship.
This was a week after the court ruling suspending her father as controller of the singer’s business affairs. Now they’re considering whether to finally terminate the legal arrangement.
In her Instagram post, Britney described her fans as the best, saying: “#FreeBritney movement…I have no words…because of you guys and your constant resilience in freeing me from my conservatorship… my life is now in that direction !!!!! I cried last night for two hours (because) my fans are the best and I know it…I feel your hearts and you feel mine…that much I know is true.”
The #FreeBritney movement was launched on social media in 2019 by a small group of fans doing demonstrations outside the court and voicing their opinions on social media platforms in support of Britney.
Top 6: ‘Sex and The City’ spin-off to be released December
HBO confirmed that “Sex and The City: And Just Like That” will premiere on US streaming serviceMax this December.
Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Krstin Davis are reunited as Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte who embark on the reality of life and friendship in their 50s. Kim Cattrall as Samantha will not be included in the spin-off.
The original “Sex and The City” series was created by Darren Star had a hit run from 1998 to 2004.

Top 5: BTS-Coldplay collab tops Billboard Hot 100
Just like their idols, Coldplay fans and the BTS ARMY have also clearly joined forces in supporting the collaboration project of the two bands, “My Universe.”
This song just made it to the top spot of Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, more than a week after its official release.
This is Coldplay’s second Hot 100 number one since “Viva La Vida” in 2008.
But for BTS, this is their sixth time to clinch the No. 1 spot in Billboard’s Hot 100.
Top 4: Ganiel Krishnan resigns as Miss World Philippines 2nd princess
Two days after the coronation night, Ganiel Krishnan relinquished her crown as Miss World Philippines Second Princess!
In the announcement she made on her social media pages, she said she chose to focus instead on being a reporter for ABS-CBN.
Ganiel thanked the organization for the experience and wished her sisters good luck.
She also shared that joining Miss World Philippines is going to be her last foray in pageantry.
Janelle Lewis of Pampanga, who’s one of the Top 15, will replace Ganiel.
Top 3: Bretman Rock is first openly gay cover of Playboy
Filipino-American social media influencer Bretman Rock really rocked the digital cover of Playboy.
He is the third man to appear solo in the cover following the magazine’s founder Hugh Hefner and singer Bad Bunny in 2020. But he is the first openly gay man to grace the cover of the magazine.
This move by Playboy marks a historic move for a magazine which is known for nude women and breaking barriers for the LGBTQIA+ community.

The hit karaoke kantahan on national television is getting up and up when it comes to the ratings game.
“Sing Galing” regular edition and “Sing Galing: Sing-lebrity Edition” continue to get good and high ratings in every episode.
For the past few days, they are getting more than 3% and almost 4% ratings, a proof that our ka-awitbahay are enjoying the return of the original singing showdown on Philippine TV.
Speaking to News5, one of the sing masters Randy Santiago expressed his delight and thanked the production and the audience for the good numbers they are getting.

This is the much anticipated comeback of Adele after more than five years.
